TGW Logistics Group ("we", "our" or "us") understand how important your privacy is.  We are committed to the protection of your privacy and to the security of the personal data you provide us with.

This Privacy Statement sets out how TGW Logistics Group (TGW) and our subsidiary companies will use the personal information you provide us with when applying for a job via our recruitment website.

This Privacy Statement should be read in conjunction with our Terms & Conditions and our Cookie Statement.

Consent

Your agreement to register on our recruitment website indicates your acceptance of this Privacy Statement and as having granted us the permissions set out below.  This Statement sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed.

TGW Logistics Group Data Controller

TGW Logistics Group‘s registered office is at Ludwig Szinicz Straße 3, A-4614, Marchtrenk, and we are a company registered in Austria under company number FN294154F.  TGW Logistics Group and our subsidiaries act as the “Data Controller and the Data Processor. 

Information that we collect

When you register on our careers website and in order to manage your application we will we collect and store your personal data. TGW processes your personal information to meet our legal, statutory and contractual obligations. We will never collect any unnecessary personal data from you and do not process your information in any way, other than specified in this Statement.

The information we collect will include:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Email Address
  • Telephone Number
  • Occupation
  • Diversity Information
  • CV Details, including qualifications, education and work experience
  • Assessment information including test results and interview details

We collect and may disclose statistical information gathered as a whole (e.g. total number of applicants and applicant origin) for internal reporting purposes and to improve the experience we offer to our job seekers. If you opt to provide date of birth, sex, marital status or nationality, then this information may be used for diversity monitoring and reporting. This personal data will not be used in the recruitment and selection process and never in a manner that identifies any individual.

IP addresses and Cookies

TGW uses your IP address to help track where you came from and what services you are using, to help us administer our website and to improve our services.

We and some of our associates and 3rd party organisations that support us to deliver the services you are using, also use “cookies” to track your use of the site, and to ensure that you are a valid, registered user throughout your “session”.

The intellectual property rights in the website and all of the text, pictures, videos and other content made available are owned by us and our licensors. You may not print or otherwise make copies of such content without our express written permission.

A cookie is a file that is stored on the hard drive of your computer. They help us to improve our site and those of our associates and 3rd party organisations that support us to deliver the services you are using and to deliver a better and more personalised service. You may refuse to accept cookies by activating the setting on your browser which allows you to refuse the setting of cookies. However, if you select this setting you may be unable to access certain parts of our site. Unless you have adjusted your browser setting so that it will refuse cookies, our system will issue cookies when you log on to our site.

How we use your personal information

We will use your personal data in the following ways:

  • To assess your suitability for the role you have applied for
  • To assess your suitability for any other role we think you may be suitable for
  • To assist you to search for an application for job vacancies
  • To conduct research related to our recruitment activities
  • To contact you to send you the information you have asked us to provide or that we think will be useful to you

We may be required to share your personal data with third party contractors such as recruitment IT suppliers (including those contracted to provide our careers website and testing services), who may process your personal data on our behalf. By registering on the careers website and submitting a job application, you consent to us sharing your personal data with these third parties.

We may also use, disclose and communicate your personal data if we are legally required to do so, for example, by a court order or by a regulator.

We will use all reasonable means to ensure that third party sources use your personal data only for the purposes for which it was provided and in adherence to this Privacy Policy. However, we are not responsible for any improper use of your personal data that is beyond our reasonable control.

Except as set out in this Privacy Statement, we will not disclose your personal data to any other third party without your permission.

Where we will store your personal data

Your personal information is stored on a secure server hosted by a TGW approved contractor. The server resides in The United Kingdom. TGW is a global organisation, therefore, your data may be transferred to any of our operating businesses throughout the world with your consent, for the purpose of being considered for any job vacancy you apply for, or for being matched to specific TGW job vacancies and being contacted by a TGW representative to discuss your interest and suitability.

By submitting your personal information, you agree to TGW  transferring, storing and processing your personal information outside the European Economic Area.

How long will we keep your information for

If your application for employment is successful and you become a TGW employee, your personal data will be transferred to your HR file and will be processed for employment purposes.

Additional Personal Data will be requested at this point, which will include (but not be limited to) :

  • Right to Work Documentation (Passport, Birth Certificate, Visa Documents etc)
  • Drivers Licence
  • Bank Account Details
  • National Insurance Number
  • Health Questionnaires
  • Next of Kin Information

If your application for employment is not successful, we will keep your personal data for the purposes of (i) contacting you for future job vacancies and (ii) the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.  After a period of 12 months with no contact between you and TGW we will contact you for consent to continue storing your data, should we not receive this consent your data will be deleted.
